About Beth Rojanets
I can’t recall a time in my life that I did not love to create, whether it be behind a camera, in a darkroom, or in a studio. While in high school, I not only took art classes at my school, but I also studied at several programs in Birmingham, Alabama. This included photography under Melissa Springer and art classes at 1st Ave N studio. I continued my art studies at the University of South Alabama. I started out as an art major with an emphasis on painting and a photography minor. I spent a semester at SCAD in Savannah before returning to South Alabama, graduating with a BS in Art Education. I taught HS art while pursuing a Masters in Instruction Design and Development. After receiving my Masters, my focus transitioned to my career as an Instructional Designer in the private industry.
While raising kids as a stay-at-home mom, I occasionally found time to create a painting or photographs for friends and family. However, it took a pandemic and the world shutting down for me to really reconnect with my “right brain” and fall in love with painting all over again.
My current work has been inspired by my everyday life, including my pets and children. My oldest child’s college journey inspired my “Mascot Series”. Since I am based in Georgia, I love painting beloved GA mascots, especially bulldogs. Other series have been inspired by travel, favorite artists, and of course the things going on in my life.
